Overview

  1. Research on mobile devices revealed that UI Patterns for maps displaying global views of routes are non-existent.
  2. Task Analysis informed our learnings that seniors need more than simply a larger font size for an improved user experience; and all audiences benefit from the customizations made for seniors - such as Tool Tips.
  3. Card Sorting reveraled that the no. 1 choice for beginning a travel search is destination.

Conclusion

Intrepid Travel has developed a unique solution for displaying mapped routes. We were able to enhance the search and sorting capabilities of their product by building upon that solution with 3.0-style filters; but keeping their “snap-shot”-style pattern in tact.
